SEDONA SPEAKS & HEART SPACE MEDITATION

As most of us are confined to our homes, we have no choice but to start facing some of our shadows. And what a powerful and supportive time to do so. 

We have been forced to stop.
To slow down.
And to find new ways of being.

There is much power to be discovered in the stillness and in turning within. 

That said, I myself have been journeying through a big shadow of my own. One that comes up often and my biggest "stuck" point. This week the shadow emotions came back in like a wrecking ball (as they usually do during the week of a full moon!), and before I went to deep into a loop, I knew it was time to work on another layer. 

The other night, after doing a lot of emotion processing, I was about to fall asleep and the image of my heart shaped rock that was gifted to me in Sedona by Robert Sechrengost (look him up if you don't already know about him!) popped in my mind, clear as day. 

The energy I felt when I "saw" it told me this wasn't just a random image coming to mind. There was a message for me, coming straight from Sedona. (Such a sacred, moving place to visit! Go there!)

So I tapped into the image and asked some questions.
What was the message behind the image of the heart shaped rock? 
Why was it coming up now, seemingly out of the blue?  
What was Sedona energy trying to tell me? 
What do I need to know about this in relation to the day's shadow work? 

And the message I got back was a beautiful one, and I was also guided to share it with all of you.  

"To find your joy, you must first find your heart." 


How much are you operating from logic/mind/ego versus operating from the heart?

We tend to place so much stock into the logical part of our operating, that we often miss opportunity to follow joy, healing, or expansion. 
"You must keep that job in order to pay the bills."
"You should/shouldn't stay in an unhealthy situation."
"What if I fail/lose/make the wrong choice/...etc" 
You get the picture. Sound familiar? 

How often do we ask ourselves: 
What is my joy and how can I follow more of that? 
What makes me feel in alignment? 
What is light and what actually makes me feel good and alive?  
Why am I operating in a manner that feels constrictive? What am I afraid of? 

How we can tell that we are operating and decision making from the heart, rather than the mind, is we generally do not let fear, what if's, or perceived logic stop us from doing something that FEELS right.

We follow the feels, versus the thoughts. And trust me, I know this is much easier said than done. It's taken full dedication to my shadow work and emotional healing to even be able to grasp this concept. 

You may find some people out there give the advice to "go with what your heart says", but don't provide any insight on exactly how to do that. 

It takes intention, exploration, mindfulness, and a commitment to your healing journey to learn how to operate from your heart rather than your head, limitations, old stories, or traumas. 

If you have never explored this topic before, you may have some layers to work through before you can get there, and that's OK. 
But now is the time to start. 

Here is a bit of a self guided meditation you can try to set the tone, or the intention to begin this work.
You can spend as much time as you want in this space. It could be five minutes, or could be twenty. However long you are called to be here. 

Sit or lay down in a comfortable position somewhere you won't be disturbed.  
Grab a rose quartz if you feel so inclined and charge it with some heart space energy.
Put on any oils (my Self-Love essential oil potion would be great for this work if you have it.  Feel free to message me for the recipe! Or you could even create yourself a blend for heart chakra work, that sounds fun and magical!).

First, start by feeling into your body.
Run your energy through your entire body, starting by swirling it around in your head and slowly work your way down until you get to your feet. (You can give your energy a color or texture if that is helpful to visualize). 
Once you reach your feet imagine your energy sinking down into the center of the earth, helping you to transmute anything you are ready to release. 
Take a few deep breaths until you feel calm and at peace. 
If any distracting thoughts start popping up, thank them and let them pass on by. 
Now lets connect to your soul. Where do you feel your soul in your body?
Now imagine a golden/white energy lighting up the path to trace that feeling to your heart. 
Is it a clear channel to your heart, or do you feel blocked? 
What emotions, traumas, self-deprecating or limiting beliefs are stored in front of it? 
Notice any feelings that start coming up without judging or analyzing them. 
What are you ready to release today, so that you may be more heart centered in your day to day life? Even if it's just one thing right now. One thing at a time is perfect, especially if you are new to this work. 
And whatever emotions are coming up that you feel are ready to be cleared, thank them and energetically affirm in your mind that you are ready to release these now. 
Imagine sending the energy of these emotions down into the earth to be transmuted using the same channel you just grounded through. 
At this point you may experience yawning, twitching or movement in your heart chakra area, or you may even feel like crying. Whatever comes up, it's OK and you are safe. This is your body's way of helping you clear the stored energy. 
Energetically call any pieces of your soul that have been left behind from these old experiences and visualize these soul fragments merging with your body and energy. 
Once you feel you have cleared what is ready to move, visualize running your energy back through your body, filling the space up you just made with your beautiful soul energy. 

Sit in this space for a bit until you feel the work is finished. 

Now would be a great time to pull yourself a few cards or do some journaling.

What came up during your meditation?
What do you need to know in order to move forward in your heart space healing?
What have you been stopping yourself from doing due to old story, old emotions, fear, ego, or your "logical" mind? 
What is ready to be created from the heart? This doesn't necessarily have to be a project or physical creation. This could be something as simple as creating an intention to be more heart centered in your daily life, an intention to build a relationship with your heart, or an intention to continue the work of clearing out old emotions so that you can better balance your heart chakra.
