Self Love & Shadow Work

I absolutely adore that I pulled the Love & Nurture Your Body card today. Such perfect timing, as I was just going through the Self-Love, Body-Love section for the Intro to Shadow Work course. And as I was going through that section, I was thinking to myself, “This topic is a really big and important deal.”

Our intuition, our signals, our truths, our signs of alignment- those are felt within the body. If we are disconnected, ashamed of, and not really occupying our body, how many intuitive messages are we missing?

Not only that, but how many things do we put in our shadows when it comes to our body?
Shame, embarrassment, judgment, negative talk, hiding, being uncomfortable, disappointment, dissatisfaction…and this list could go on.

One of the most expansive things I was taught throughout my entire journey were the tools and support to love myself and my body again. It did not happen overnight, and it’s a relationship I nurture and grow each and every day. And some days I might just not be feeling it. But I no longer allow myself to stay in that space, and I get right back to my practice of self-love and self-care. And it has become more natural to ask my body what it wants, to fuel it with more high vibrational foods, I have completely changed diet and it has been easy AF. I work out, move my body, and stretch so much more than I ever was doing before. And this is nothing I have had to force. I am honestly amazed at how easy it has been. That is a result of a very aligned soul desire and intention to want to love, nurture, and work in communion with my body again. (And more proof how easy it is for soul desires to manifest once we stop judging or limiting them and just choose to lean in!)

Shadow work is not just about looking at the rejected sides of yourself.
It’s also about clearing. Clearing limiting beliefs, clearing energy and cords and contracts, clearing ancestral patterns, clearing loops.
And then it’s about accepting and falling back in love with yourself again.
All of you.
Your mind, your body, your experiences, who you are. You get to love all of that. If you so choose.

My invitation for you today is to start thinking about your level of self-love and self-care.
This can seem daunting just starting out. Choose not to let it be. Ask your highest soul aligned self to show up every day for this journey. Ask your body what you can do each day to love and nurture it.

Start with an intention. Do not underestimate the power of an intention, especially one you hold at the forefront of your heart, mind, and soul. “My intention today is to fall back in love with myself and my body. Calling in the support for that journey.” 

Start by choosing to make one small pivot a day. This does not have to disrupt your daily life.
In fact, living mindfully and soulfully doesn’t “take time”, it enhances your time.
Start by something as simple as replacing one self-ridicule a day with something you love about yourself.

Start sending love to your body. Ask it what it needs to feel good. How can you nurture it?

Don’t go into overwhelm, go in gently with grace and ease.
If you want to love yourself again, intend for that to be so. Put your energy there every single day. And grace comes in by giving yourself time to walk that journey.

Is it time for you to come out of the shadows my friend?
Your intuition, your manifesting, your experiences, and your relationships begin to feel a lot more aligned from this space, as if by magic. It’s kind of a big deal!
